Marcelle has extensive professional experience in Marketing, Project management and Business Management. Following her tertiary studies in a Bachelor of Business Management and a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Queensland (UQ), Marcelle began her career with the University of Queensland as the Marketing Officer for UQ Sport. After two years, she was promoted to UQ Sport Event Manager and gained extensive project management experience coordinating large scale University events. Seeking a new professional challenge, Marcelle then moved into the corporate sector in her employment as a Marketing & Administration Manager for an International Business Coaching Firm. In this role, Marcelle received valuable mentoring and coaching herself, and developed critical skills in assisting companies large and small with strategic business development. In 2013, after a visit to Groote and on the recommendation of her brother Nick, Marcelle relocated to Groote Eylandt and gained employment with the Anindilyakwa Land Council as the Administration & Operations Officer for the Land and Sea Rangers. Having worked with the ALC alongside traditional owners for 5 years, Marcelle brings to Bush Fit Mob strong operational leadership, cultural awareness and a local network of professional and personal relationships that underpins our collaborative ethos.
