Nick’s professional background includes, allied health, elite sport and business management. Following his graduation with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from University of Queensland in 2005, Nick had a 9-year playing career in the NRL with the Brisbane Broncos. During his time playing in the NRL Nick also developed his physiotherapy skills alongside numerous accomplished physiotherapists at the Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Reds, and Australian Wallabies teams. After his retirement from rugby league, Nick moved to Groote Eylandt in 2012 and established Active Performance, a successful allied health business that services mining companies, the MJD Foundation and numerous remote communities throughout the Northern Territory and North Queensland.
Nick is regularly invited to present at universities, schools and conferences about his professional experience in indigenous and allied health. Nick also holds formal qualifications in health and safety, training and assessing and advanced life support whilst currently completing additional study in mental health and alcohol and other drugs. Nick is now the Director of Bush Fit Mob and Active Performance and continueshis allied health work with the MJD Foundation in North Queensland and the Northern Territory.
